North Harbour is planned to allow residents to take their love of outdoor living to the next level.
Southeast Queensland is known for its sub-tropical climate and beautiful landscapes. It’s a corner of the world where people love to spend time outdoors, all year round.
On completion of our masterplan, North Harbour will be home to 1000 acres of open space and parklands, an area approximately the size of 600 football fields which is more than half of our entire site. With six parks currently open at North Harbour and an all-abilities park due to open in 2023, each park has something unique to offer from exercise equipment in our Burpengary East location to off leash dog play areas. Each park is also designed to connect through bike and walking tracks as part of the North Harbour masterplan.
North Harbour offers the greenest space of any northside community development in the Brisbane to Sunshine Coast corridor. The master plan for this Burpengary development allows for the 1000 acres of public space to be used to support an active lifestyle.
Native bushland will be carefully and thoughtfully preserved, and open spaces developed for parks and playgrounds, BBQs and picnic facilities. The 1000 acres will take in the banks and meandering reaches of the river, adding to the beauty and opportunity. It will also enhance North Harbour’s connection to beautiful Moreton Bay, its islands and healthy waterways, including the Pumicestone Passage, and offer easy access to a myriad of water-based activities, including fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming and more.
North Harbour’s extensive parklands and open space at Burpengary East have taken top honours in the Parks and Recreation category at the prestigious 2021 UDIA Queensland Awards for Excellence.
The Village Park
The Village Park was the first park to open at North Harbour in 2015 and offers play equipment suitable for older and younger children, plenty of space to play, BBQ and picnic shelters, and free Wi-Fi! The Village Park is a popular central meeting place for families in our community.
Reflections Park
Reflections opened in 2017 and is located at the western corner of North Harbour, adjacent to Raff Creek Eco-Corridor. With play equipment for younger children, Reflections has plenty of flat space around for running around and exercise equipment for park patrons to enjoy.
Riparian Park
Riparian Park opened in May 2019 and offers an expansive space for residents to enjoy, even having hosted the inaugural community cricket match between neighbourhood streets! With a flying fox, plenty of play equipment, fitness equipment and half basketball court, Riparian Park also continues the stretch of bike tracks and walking tracks along Mornington Parade which begin at Reflections Park.
Habitat Park
Habitat Park also opened in 2019 and offers much-loved off-leash dog areas with doggy play equipment. Habitat Park also includes play equipment for kids, outdoor fitness equipment, BBQs and shelters and wetlands. Habitat is the current home of our free Saturday yoga class.
Harvest Park
Harvest Park opened in early 2022. Located opposite part of North Harbour’s extensive environmental corridor it includes BBQ facilities, picnic shelter, playground, walking and bike paths, fitness equipment, table tennis table, sunlounges and our first community garden which includes a range of fruit trees including lime, lemon and avocado and plants such as capsicum, lemongrass, passionfruit and herbs.
Kinship Park
The All-Abilities Park will feature parking and toilet facilities, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the space comfortably. Picnic and BBQ sheltered areas will encourage communal gatherings, while state-of-the-art equipment designed for users of all abilities will provide endless opportunities for play and recreation.
In addition to these amenities, the park will offer generous open spaces, perfect for a friendly game of catch or soccer. The entire area will be seamlessly connected by well-maintained walking paths, making it easily accessible to the local community. North Harbour’s dedication to creating a harmonious and welcoming environment is epitomised in this project.
Raff Creek Eco-Corridor
The Raff Creek eco-corridor is a woodland area of bush and wetlands which will be protected in perpetuity. Located adjacent to Reflections and the future Riparian Park, it is an expanse of unspoilt natural beauty for residents and local wildlife to enjoy.
Heritage Precinct
The opening of the North Harbour Heritage Park Precinct was an exciting milestone for North Harbour and its wider community. This park, which is built on land that has been in private ownership since the 1860s and is a Queensland Heritage Registered site, provides an insight into the early settlement of the area and the pioneering agricultural industries which emerged here.
The parkland includes pathways and tracks detailing the remnants of the past and the Compass Centre showcases historic photographs and stories interpreting the life and times of the various people who owned and worked on this land.
Dogs are welcome at Heritage Park, providing they remain on a lead at all times and do not wander onto the heritage artefacts. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs.
